One More Time

Well, I've tried once before to start a blog but lost it. The Blog has record of it since it won't use my reinbeauchaser name.

Supposedly it's already in use. Yeah, I know this, since it's me! However, I just can't get into it. So, I've used Muggee instead and created another blog using that as my handle.

Muggee is sort of an endearing name that my husband gave me shortly after we married. When we were dating, he used words like 'Princess' to describe me. Once married, Princess was demoted to Muggee. Not sure how that happened, but in nearly 30 years of marriage, it hasn't changed.

Princess sounds better, but Muggee - that's more personalized and special. I mean, how many people do you know who are nicknamed Muggee?

Yeah, didn't think so.

Yet, one might ask - where in the world did he ever come up with a name like that?

Remember Captain and Tennille? No? Hmm...well, remember the song, Love Will Keep Us Together? Or, the 80's rendition of a Shop Around? Or, hey, Muskrat Love!! Yeah, now there was a song.

Well, somewhere amid all of that, the word Mugwump came into play. Don't ask me how, it just did. It was applied to me and then eventually shortened to Muggee. For years I kept it hidden, not wanting anyone to know about it and where it was an endearing name my husband gave me, even more so.

That is - until - now!

I have recently found several definitions for Mugwump, but by far my most favorite and one that I will brandish here is -

A mugwump is someone educated beyond his intellect!

Yeah, baby!

Or not, since it really depends on how you look at it.

Either I am incredibly brilliant, meaning that I was incredibly smart before I found education.

Or, I was hopelessly stupid and with said education, I'm like all of you.

Personally, I'd like to believe I'm better, but we all know how much in denial I tend to be - so...

I guess I'm just your average brilliant person -
